Living a life free from stress has become more of an ideal than a reality in our everyday lives, and this became very apparent with the Covid 19 pandemic.  A small amount of stress (controlled stress) can have positive outcomes such as motivating you to do better, but more often than not stress like an open wound continues to fester and worsen over time and especially if it is ignored and not treated timeously. 

This interactive and energetic workshop brings together theory and alternative practices to help participants in addressing the negative effects of stress and anxiety through the following outcomes:

  • Identify what the cause of their stress and anxiety are,
  • Identify and explore the common signs and symptoms that  they experience during stress and anxiety
  • Exploring ways and tools of dealing with stress and anxiety
  • Equip participants with tools of managing their stress and anxiety levels through awareness, exercise and alternative healing practices such as breath work and Qi-gong.

08:30 – 09:00 Meet & Greet

  • Introduction of workshop with goals, outcomes and expectations.
  • Explaining ground rules
  • Group pledge

09:00 – 09:20 Setting a positive intention with Laetitia

  • Gentle movements to loosen the body & release blocked energy.
  • Voice warm-ups to clear the  throat area to free self-expression and creativity.
  • Body, mind and breath centering.
  • Square Breathing to release anxiety.
  • Creating a golden light of protection.  

09:20 – 10:30 Overview of Stress and Anxiety by Dr Naz & Heinri

  • What is stress and anxiety?
  • Types of stress and anxiety.
  • Signs and symptoms of stress and anxiety.
  • Activity 1
    - Identifying my source of stress and anxiety.
    - Describe your experience of your stress and anxiety.
    - Your coping mechanism of your stress and anxiety.
  • Activity 2
    - Debriefing.

10:30 - 10:45 Tea Time & Snacks

10:45 – 11:15 Qi-Gong Practices with Laetitia

  • Clearing your space – making the space around you safe.
  • Gentle warm-up movements for loosening up the body and joints - releasing stuck energy.
  • Tapping massage  - natural boost of energy that will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged.
  • Turtle breathing – opens up the heart area for compassion, forgiveness and unconditional love.
  • Qi-gong movements.
  • Balloon exercise to release all negativity.

11:15 – 12:30 Normalising stress and anxiety by Dr Naz & Heinri

  • Ice Breaker
  • Johari’s Window
  • Coping with your stress and anxiety.
    - Unhealthy ways to cope with your stress and anxiety

13:30– 13:50 "Grounding" with Laetitia

  • Tree Breathing. Breathing in all the good, breathing out all negative energy.
  • Tree Meditation with Tibetan Bowls: Perfect grounding meditation to bring your focus to the "here and now".

13:50 - 15:00  "Me redefined" by Dr Naz & Heinri

  • Tree meditation analysis based on above activity
  • Goal setting
  • Elephant  story and moral
  • Pebble activity
  • Debrief
  • Closure

15:00 – 17:00 Free time to make use of the mountain trail, spa facilities or relax at the garden gazebos.

About your facilitators: 

Dr Chanaz ("Naz" - the name that she is most commonly known by) is a professional, registered and qualified clinician and therapist.  Her expertise lies within the field of health and wellness where she has specialised in for over 20 years of experience in health and well-being.  She believes in the power of a positive mindset and seizing every opportunity that life presents to us.  Her philosophy like her blood group type is:  Be Positive :-)

Heinri is a skilled and trained nature and game ranger with a wide range of knowledge and expertise in plant and wild life. He is also had exposure in working in animal rehabilitation centres and within the field of tourism for both local and international customers.  Heinri believes that by embracing nature, one embraces life.

Laetitia is a practitioner of Holistic treatments to assist the body and mind for true relaxation, healing & rejuvenation. Laetitia is trained and qualified to provide the following Holistic treatments: Qi-Gong, Sound Therapy, Crystal Healing, Nature Therapy such as "Forest Bathing", Art Therapy, Cacao & Tea Ceremonies. Laetitia is also a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Teacher in Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.
